revenge synopsis

The story starts with Danny and Alice in a ‘happy relationship’, at least that’s what Alice thinks is. Alice is eight months pregnant. Danny has been having an anonymous affair with a girl called Maryam before Alice got pregnant but Maryam is totally unaware of his ongoing relationship with Alice or that she is pregnant, so Maryam innocently doesn’t have any doubts or thoughts about anything like this and finds it completely normal to move in together with him.


Later on Danny leaves Alice and confronts her saying that he doesn’t want anything to do with her or the baby. This causes Alice to go insane and leads her in search of revenge as he never gave her a reason why he’s leaving her. She also becomes alert of his relationship with Maryam and sees her as a way of getting back at him by trying to damage and hurt them as faultily as possible to try and ruin the relationship.Alice seeks revenge in clever and spiteful ways making look like Maryam is the villain and causing problems for Danny. She secretly starts of in a subtle way; she thinks it through carefully before planning anything straight away so it’s not obvious to Danny and Maryam at first.The revenge is going to start by Alice following the couple and tracking down their personal life step by step. Alice plans to make Danny’s life fall apart slowly and miserably. Danny works is a very high maintenance business where he needs to keep his standards up all the time and can’t make any mistakes to keep his place and status. Alice knows this and wants to take advantage because she knows how important this is to him. She then starts her spiteful, crazy things that should go wrong for Danny and Maryam and to direct them to arguments. These are all small things like Danny’s credit card being declined this turns to him not buying Maryam a waited for birthday present. Alice sends text messages to Danny pretending to be another girl which Maryam foolishly is so gullible and believes. Alice puts different men’s shirts under their bed so Danny finds this. Another trick of hers that Alice does is when Danny requests Maryam to make reservations at a well known restaurant for his boss as he is too busy, Alice decides to cancel them without explanation. This then leads to Danny getting fired from his be-loved job. This is when the arguments triggered. Whilst arguing with each other Maryam gets sharp pains in her stomach and is rushed into hospital to find she has had a miscarriage

Alice victimising becomes more brutal. Another scheming plot has been set. Alice sends funeral flowers to their house to play on the baby’s death she then pays a visit to Danny’s house and offers him his old life back with her and his son that is now three months old. Her actions make Danny very nervous as she begins to come very close to him with a sharp object when he refuses her offer and begins to repeat ‘but I love you Danny’ over and over again. Danny quickly escapes from Alice he jumps into his car and drives back to tell Maryam exactly what’s been going on

Arriving to see Maryam, she is found in the corner of the room rocking, picking away the funeral flowers that were sent by Alice. Danny cradles her and decides this may not be the best time to tell her about Alice.

The next day Danny has a job interview. Maryam is terrified to be alone and pleads him not to go, Danny comforts her and tells her it’s going to fine and that this job interview is their last chance for any income. He then leaves for his interview. When Danny leaves Maryam she goes to make a cup of tea, when she discovers there is no milk left. She goes out to grab some milk from the local shop; she doesn’t know she has forgotten her mobile phone at home. Mean while Danny arrives to his interview to find nothing in the room but a table, chair, TV and one single video tape. At this point Danny is totally confused and has no idea of what’s going this was very unusual for him. Danny sits down waiting when he realised on the video tape it says his name ‘Danny play me’ Danny follows these instructions and inserts the video tape into the video player and waits. Then to his disbelief Alice appears on the screen, she beings to talk to Danny ‘’ Danny you don’t understand how much you mean to me. Why did you leave me Danny, we could have been so happy together me, you and your son ‘Danny’ I named him after you’’. She holds a picture up to the camera of their son. She brings the picture down to her lap and smiles at it, she then looks back at the camera more sternly with hate and anger in her eyes and says ‘’but you had to spoil that didn’t you; you left me for that slut it hurts to lose someone you love Danny. But you will soon feel the pain for yourself’’. The tape ended and the screen went black. Danny then darted out of the room.
